Colombia has finally matched us with Samuel and we may travel in mid-November!

Our social worker called this morning with good news that we have finally been officially matched with Samuel and she says if all goes smoothly we may be able to travel in mid November and bring him home mid December (we will be in the country for approx. 4 weeks.)  Since it's close to Christmas it is possible that it may be a shorter stay which would be wonderful since Amelia and Dalton are staying at our house with my parents while we are in Colombia.  It is very exciting that we will probably have him here with us for Christmas and that we will celebrate a New Year with our new precious little boy!  We are not able to post pictures until we travel to get him, but he is an adorable little boy that has a smile that has captured my heart.  His smile gives me hope that he has a loving foster mom that cares for him and she will show him the photo book we made for him that has pictures of his new family.  I pray the pictures will help him accept us with open arms and I know it may be hard for him at first because he has been with his foster mom for over a year and a half.  We are just trusting in God for all to go smoothly so we can bring our little boy home!  We look forward to watching him grow up and although we have missed his first 2 1/2 years we look forward to all the milestones to come!  Now I really need to work extra hard on that Rosetta Stone to learn more Spanish too:)

  1. Congratulations! Is your little guy from Monteria that was in the Noticero? Our daughter was a waiting child from Monteria who came home in August 2006. Look forward to following your journey.

  2. Congrats on your match! We adopted 2.5-year-old twin boys (and their 8.5-year-old sister) in 2007. You are on a wonderful journey and I wish you God's best!
