Today we met with the social worker that has worked with Samuel over a year now in his foster home. She asked questions about how he is doing and said it sounded like he is adjusting well. She said the foster mom said we could call her if we had any questions and that her husband (his foster dad) and their 6 year old granddaughter really miss him. That made me sad, but I know they wanted him to find a loving family to raise him and they do have other children that they are fostering. We are hoping to sign something tomorrow after the judge to get the next step going. It sounds like it usually takes about two weeks. We still have a few days in Bogota after that. Since the judge is in Lorica (an hour from where we are now), we are hoping to stop by on our way to the beach tomorrow. We are taking a mini vacation and staying 3 nights for a change of scenery and my brother is going too. It has been nice having my brother here these past couple days. We've been able to do a lot more and eat out at nicer places, since he can communicate with the locals and find all the best places to go.
Samuel has warmed up to my brother. My brother got him a hand-made ball in Venezuela and Samuel had fun playing catch with him. We also got to watch him dance again tonight, he is a really good dancer! He took a nap today, which is making it hard to get him to bed tonight. He is doing great, but Jeff and I are so tired at night and he is up and playing and it's 10pm! I would rather him just not take naps and go to bed at 8pm. Hopefully we can get him on a schedule, but it's hard to do here. We had a nice dinner on the plaza and then went to the store to get Samuel a few things he needed. Hopefully we will have internet where we are going, but if not we will start the blogs back in a few days! Buenas Noches!

This was a cupcake shop on the plaza. I took this one for Amelia, she is a big DC Cupcake fan!
